So you’re getting a lot of squiggly red underlines in your work.

Yikes.

Don’t be discouraged, though!

Everyone has to start somewhere.

JK Rowling, of all people, started from the bottom.

Don’t fret, we have a tip for you that will help your spelling go from zero to one hundred.

This method is chunky, yet funky.

Literally.

It’s called the ‘chunking method’, and it’s exactly what it sounds like.

Simply select a word that you know you always misspell, and break it down into syllables. Try to say each syllable out loud.

Eg. Ignorant

     Ig-nor-ant

      Immaculate

      Im-ma-cu-late

      Indecisive

      In-de-ci-sive

Start off with simpler words that you usually misspell.

When you find that those words are becoming like second nature to you, go ahead and move it up a notch to the more complex words.

Before you know it, you’ll be the one correcting your friends’ work!
